We are stewards of your financial success.
With roots tracing back 2011, our advisors are committed to you.
Who We Are
Providers & Families Wealth Management was founded by Scot Whiskeyman, CFP® and Lindsey Ciarrocca, CMC® in 2017, becoming fully independent in 2022. We’re a fiduciary, husband-and-wife team, based in Central Pennsylvania, serving pre-retirees and widows all over the United States. We pride ourselves on our independence, objectivity, and high standard of care for those that entrust us with their financial needs.

We believe that good financial planning starts and ends with your goals. While many firms take a products-first or investments-first approach, we don’t.
Your goals should guide the technical structure of your personal financial situation, not the other way around. Everything else - whether it’s investments, insurance, and beyond - should be structured to support those goals.
Firms that don’t start with your goals simply start with their own agenda.
Our only agenda is you.
-
Independence: we are an independent firm, free of hidden sales requirements, management influence, or shareholder focus.
Objectivity: we put your needs first. This means being straightforward, always. Even if it doesn’t benefit us financially.
People first: relationships matter to us, and they come first. They matter far more than money ever could.
Enjoy the journey: we take our work and duties as advisors seriously, but we also believe having fun along the way matters, because life is short. We’re serious about helping you succeed, but we believe it’s important to have fun together along the way.
Lifelong learning: rules change, products change, research into what works changes. We stay on top of these changes so that our clients take advantage of opportunities and avoid surprises.

Our founding partner, Scot Whiskeyman, joined the financial industry in 2007 as a seasonal bank teller in college, where his first-hand experience into the world of finance began. In 2011, he joined a large insurance firm, learning the ins and outs of retirement income at age 24 as the of the Baby Boomer generation began to retire.
Lindsey joined the financial industry in 2016 after helping a friend with a budget. This was her lightbulb moment: helping women navigate the complexities of personal finance gave her real meaning.
On a Spring morning in 2017, Lindsey and Scot sat across from one another at a young professionals’ coffee meeting and met for the first time. Within one month, they began dating, nerding out over financial spreadsheets together. Lindsey joined Scot’s firm several months later, and the officially partnered up at the end of that year. In fall of 2019, they got married!
In 2022, Scot and Lindsey became independent, launching Providers & Families Wealth Management, with a renewed focus on serving their clients in the best way possible.
Today, Providers & Families Wealth Management is a small, independent firm based out of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, serving pre-retirees and widows nationwide. We are proud of what we built, humbled by the trust people place in us, and honored to be a part of their story.
Our Planning Process
Your goals are unique. Your situation is unique. Great financial planning is about more than just your money, it’s about what really matters to you.
We believe you deserve to feel secure about your financial decisions. Our process is built with that in mind.

We believe providing the highest standard of care means being by your side over time. That’s not just because your goals and needs will inevitably change and evolve. Legislative changes, markets get turbulent, and life has a tendency to throw curveballs. Our process is built to give you the confidence you deserve - now, and in the future.
Areas of Focus
Your discovery conversation is where we begin mapping out what’s most important to you.
Evaluating your financial situation and goals means approaching it holistically by reducing taxes, reducing or eliminating hidden risks, ensuring your investments work together harmoniously, and more.
Retirement income strategies
Cash flow planning now and in retirement
Coordinating and communicating with your CPA and attorney when necessary
Tax-efficient, diverse, disciplined investing
Identifying and addressing hidden risks
Strategically reducing taxes over your lifetime
When you work with us, everything doesn’t happen at once. We take a staged approach, using our tools and knowledge to address your needs based on what’s most important to you. While our process is designed to get you where you want to go faster, we believe in moving at your pace, not rushing.
Our Investment Philosophy
Intelligent investing is disciplined, backed by evidence, and follows timeless wisdom.
Rather than try to predict the future or follow trends, we believe focusing on what’s in our control - and aligning it with your plan - means better outcomes for you.
What We Believe
Time in the market, not timing the market
Control what’s in our control
Timeless, evidence-based principals, not trends
The best portfolio is the one you stay in for the long run, and aligns with your ever-evolving financial plan.
The right investment approach isn’t one-size-fits-all. One investment strategy could be great for your neighbor, co-worker, or family member, but wrong for your situation.
Your needs and your goals should be the foundation of your investment strategy.
